YouTube continues to improve the way users interact with videos. Google-owned YouTube has started testing new artificial intelligence features. Live stream chat summaries, QR codes for channels and more are being tested.
YouTube will now offer live stream summaries
YouTube said in a recent statement that it is rolling out multiple features to beta users. One of the tests aims to improve the live streaming experience. YouTube will now use artificial intelligence to create summaries of chat conversations during live broadcasts. This way, viewers who join the broadcast late will be summarized the parts they missed.
YouTube is also testing new search features powered by Google Lens. Tests with a group of Android users will allow searching the YouTube app with a photo of an object. Users will be able to view video reviews and tutorial videos about the object. This will make it easier to research the product.
There are also some innovations for content creators. YouTube has started creating QR codes for channel owners. Sharing the channel will become easier through these codes.
The platform is also testing creating effects for YouTube Shorts. Through these effects, video owners can customize their content and make it more creative.
It is not yet clear whether these trials will be implemented. But the tests reflect YouTube’s efforts to integrate machine learning into the platform.
