No need to buy Vision Pro! Meta introduces its popular feature

Ana sayfa / News

Today, Meta has introduced the Travel Mode feature for the Quest 2 and Quest 3 devices, a popular feature from Apple’s Vision Pro. This new Travel Mode feature allows you to experience virtual reality seamlessly and without internet during air travel. Now, you can stay connected to virtual worlds even while on a plane. But how exactly do you use this feature? Let’s take a closer look…

Meta’s Travel Mode enables you to focus entirely on virtual reality by not showing the views outside the airplane windows. This means you don’t need to look outside the airplane windows to play your games or use your applications through your virtual reality headset.

For example, while on a plane, you can watch movies as if you were in a movie theater, learn a foreign language, or even wander through relaxing virtual landscapes, all designed to distance you from the stress of travel. To activate this mode, you go to the settings menu on your Quest device, enter the experimental features section, and activate it there.

Apple Vision Pro rival: Meta Quest 3 is on sale!

Meta's ambitious and highly anticipated new VR glasses, Meta Quest 3, are finally on sale. Here are its features and price!

Currently, this mode is only available on airplanes. Meta plans to extend this feature to other modes of transport like cars and trains in the future. If you have internet access on the plane and want to use an internet-dependent game or application, you can continue using it via the airplane’s Wi-Fi connection.

Meta’s new Travel Mode is a complete alternative to a similar feature found in Apple’s Vision Pro headset. Essentially, the $3,500 Apple Vision Pro offers similar features but at a significantly higher price. Meta, on the other hand, has made the Quest 2 and 3 devices available at a more affordable and accessible price, reaching a broader audience.

With the Travel Mode feature, Meta has made the virtual reality experience during air travel even more enjoyable. With features like this, Meta aims to make Quest 2 and 3 more accessible to all consumers, further spreading the technology of virtual reality. What do you think? Is it necessary to purchase the Apple Vision Pro for over $100,000 when similar features are available at a more accessible price? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below.
