Nothing has released Phone (2a) Plus Community Edition, a revamped version of Phone (2a). What makes this edition special is that it was designed together with Nothing users.
Nothing Phone (2a) Plus Community Edition
Months ago, Nothing invited the community to submit ideas for the Phone (2a)’s back panel design. Out of hundreds of submissions, the “Phospheresence” design, developed jointly by two individuals, was chosen. The design has a slight green tint in daylight and glows in the dark.
The Phone (2a) Community Edition uses the winning back panel design. The new version is based on the Phone (2a) Plus model in terms of hardware and is priced to be about 100 dollars more expensive than the Plus model. Accordingly, it has a price tag of 449 dollars.
Community Edition also includes a new wallpaper pack called “Connected Collection”. The six wallpapers are available on Nothing’s website. The box was also designed by a user and features glow-in-the-dark green accents.
Powered by the Dimensity 7350 Plus chipset developed by MediaTek, the (2a) Plus is backed by 8GB and 12GB RAM memory. Offering a single 256GB storage option, (2a) Plus runs on Android 14-based Nothing OS 2.6 operating system. While there is a 5000 mAh battery inside the case, 50W fast charging support accompanies (2a) Plus for faster charging of the device.
