The New Long-Wheelbase BMW X3 is Coming: Updated Interior and Exterior Design
The new BMW X3 will be officially unveiled at the Auto Show starting on August 30th. The long-wheelbase version introduces several new features in exterior design. The iconic double kidney grille is now larger, featuring vertical and cross chrome accents.
For the first time, the split BMW halo grille is being used. The redesigned double L-shaped angel eye headlights function as both low and high beams. The side profile offers a dynamic look with rich lines and five-spoke wheels.
At the rear, the design is clean, with new arrow-shaped taillights. The double L-shaped light strips form an “X” pattern, and the rear spoiler and diffuser add a sporty touch. Crystal decorative ambient lighting is extensively used on the center console and door panels. The control buttons have been upgraded to touch-sensitive.
The vehicle is equipped with the latest generation operating system and a special floating curved display. Additionally, the panoramic starry roof provides a view of the sky and changes colors based on different driving themes. The long-wheelbase BMW X3 measures 4865 mm in length and 1920 mm in width.
The 2975 mm wheelbase offers ample space in the rear seat area. The thickness and length of the rear seats have been increased, providing passengers with more comfort. In terms of powertrain, it is expected that the new model will retain the current engine options.
The existing BMW X3 models come with 2.0T turbocharged engines, with power outputs ranging from 184 hp (xDrive25i) to 245 hp (xDrive30i), depending on the model.
