Nvidia’s latest graphics card series RTX 40 has been making a name for itself since its launch. The company, which was not very successful in terms of sales, especially with RTX 4070 and above, achieved good sales figures in both mobile and desktop with RTX 4060 and 4050 models. Now a claim has been made about the release date of the highly anticipated RTX 40 SUPER models. So what is the date in question?
When will the RTX 40 SUPER series be released?
CES 2024 may not be the same as it was before the coronavirus pandemic. But it’s still powerful enough for companies to capitalize on the event for product launches. Nvidia is one of them, and many expect its GeForce RTX 40 SUPER line of GPUs to launch at CES 2024. But new rumors suggest it could launch even earlier.
X published a screenshot on December 14th revealing the official launch date of the GeForce RTX 4070 Super. The date it points to seems to be scheduled for January 8. That’s one day before the start of CES 2024.
Other rumors suggest that the GeForce RTX 4080 Super and GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super will launch at the same time. Other products in the lineup could hit shelves as soon as mid-January or late January. Price points and specifications have not been confirmed by Nvidia, but these details are also rumored.
At the lower end, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti could cost as much as $399. Expected to have more CUDA cores, the upper end of the price tier could be hundreds of dollars more, while the GeForce RTX 4090 is expected to be closer to $1,599.
It was thought that Nvidia would use CES 2023 as its launch platform since November 2024. At the time, leaks believed that at least two new graphics cards could arrive from the company by January. Images of the lettering and brand colors supposedly used on the GeForce RTX 40 SUPER series GPUs have also started to leak.
