According to Moore’s Law is Dead, known for its reliable technology leaks, graphics card giant Nvidia is making serious strides in making portable gaming devices. Let’s take a look at the details of the claim together.
Nvidia may be making its own portable gaming device to rival Steam Deck
Nvidia is probably not happy that AMD is developing the graphics processing unit that powers the Steam Deck and they want to put their own stamp on the market.
In fact, the handheld console that Nvidia is allegedly working on is the PlayStation Vita 2. Sony was recently rumored to have plans for a sequel to the legendary handheld console. If both rumors are true, Nvidia will power Sony’s new handheld console.
In a YouTube video, a YouTuber claims that Nvidia is working on a premium handheld gaming device, and that it may work with Intel on the console, but that’s years away. So don’t get your hopes up for a Steam Deck competitor with a GeForce graphics card anytime soon.
Right now, Nvidia is already supporting the Nintendo Switch console, but it’s not a premium handheld console that can open every game like Steam Deck. A handheld console that includes features like DLSS could really sell. What do you think? Please don’t forget to share your thoughts with us in the comments section.
