Nvidia’s first ARM-based PC processor, the N1X, has been revealed for the first time in a performance test. The chip, which has been on the agenda with leaks for a long time, has come to light with the Geekbench 6 test results. The test data reveals the point that Nvidia’s efforts to enter the desktop and laptop market with the processor have reached.

The N1X processor was listed in the Geekbench database with a 20-core structure and 20 threads. While the base frequency was measured as 2.81 GHz, the chip can go up to 4.05 GHz. The scores were recorded as 3,096 points in single-core and 18,837 points in multi-core.
These results fall behind Apple’s M4 Max processor. The M4 Max scored 3,986 and 26,190 points in the same test, respectively. However, the Nvidia N1X leaves its x86-based competitors such as the AMD Ryzen 9 8950HX and Intel Core Ultra 9 285H behind. It also outperforms AMD’s AI-supported Ryzen AI MAX 395 model in single-core tests and the Ryzen AI HX 370 in both single- and multi-core tests.
The tested system appears to be an HP model that has not yet been introduced. This device, listed under the code name 8EA3, uses the Ubuntu 24 operating system. There is a striking detail on the memory side. It is stated that the system has 119 GB of RAM.
The core structure of the N1X overlaps with previously leaked information. It is estimated that the processor consists of 10 high-performance Cortex-X925 and 10 efficiency-focused Cortex-A725 cores. This architecture aims to offer such a high-performance multi-core structure for the first time, especially in the ARM world.
There is no definitive information on the GPU side. However, if it is to be placed on the same silicon, the chip is likely to feature a graphics unit with 6,144 CUDA cores. This would mean performance at around the RTX 5070 level.
If this assumption comes true, the Nvidia N1X could change the course of the competition not only with its CPU power but also with its graphics performance. The company is expected to launch its new processor in 2025 or at the latest in early 2026.
