NVIDIA has been focusing on the RTX 50 series for some time now. A lot of information about the new graphics cards has been coming out lately. However, the latest leak reveals a version of the NVIDIA RTX 4070 that has not yet been introduced. The graphics card with 10 GB of GDDR6 memory was seen for the first time.
NVIDIA RTX 4070 with 10 GB VRAM revealed
A second-hand listing revealed the NVIDIA RTX 4070 with 10GB of GDDR6 VRAM and a 160-bit memory bus. The model, codenamed AD104-275 GPU, has 7168 CUDA cores. This means it has similar CUDA cores to the RTX 4070 Ti and RTX 4070 SUPER.
It should be noted that RTX 40 series graphics cards are equipped with 12GB VRAM as standard. This prototype may reveal NVIDIA’s initial plans for the standard RTX 4070 before the feature boost. After the base model, NVIDIA may have decided against mass-producing this prototype.
The leaked graphics card physically resembles the design of the NVIDIA Founders Edition models and features a 12VHPWR connector. It also has a boost clock speed of 2355MHz, which is higher than the graphics cards on sale.
Of course, it’s unclear how this engineered graphics card ended up on the second-hand market. Although it hasn’t become an official model, it’s an important model for the RTX 4070 family. We also don’t know if NVIDIA is working on a SUPER variant with 10GB VRAM.
