Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, also known as CS:GO, was released by Valve in 2012 and has consistently maintained its popularity, continuously increasing its player base. This success has been supported by regular updates and the addition of new features to the game. Today, Valve has made a change to the case drop system in CS:GO. Here are the details…
It is no longer possible to obtain cases by being AFK in CS:GO!
Weapon cases that players can acquire by participating in matches in CS:GO are highly sought after. This is because they can be sold on the Steam Marketplace, providing players with a source of income. While this income may not be substantial enough to sustain a livelihood, it can sometimes be sufficient to purchase a high-quality AAA game.
However, some players have found a loophole in this system. Instead of playing the game to earn cases, they prefer to engage in other activities in the background. They leave the game running in the background, making it appear as if they are actively playing, and wait for cases to drop. And quite often, cases do drop.
Valve, the developer of the game, has taken action against this exploit. A recent update was released for CS:GO, which prevents AFK players from receiving case drops and earning XP.
Cases will now drop with each level-up!
In addition to addressing the exploit used by some individuals, this update also brings a new feature for players who prefer to play the game normally. Starting with this update, every week, players will receive a guaranteed case upon reaching the first level.
If you’re lucky, you may also receive a skin pattern along with the case. However, the chances of this happening are quite low. Following the announcement of Counter-Strike 2, there have been significant updates for CS:GO recently. Accordingly, we may expect to see different innovations in the near future.
