Samsung continues to enhance user experience with its ongoing updates. While the South Korean manufacturer is currently working on One UI 7, it is also not neglecting security patches. Recently, an update for October 2024 was released for a total of six models.
Samsung Releases October 2024 Update for Six Models
The October 2024 update rollout begins with the Galaxy S24 FE and continues with the Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, S24 Ultra, Flip 5, Fold 5, and Fold 6 models. This new patch addresses security issues, providing a safer experience while also improving system stability.
If you haven’t received an automatic update notification, you can manually update your phone by going to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. If your device still doesn’t find the new patch, you may need to wait a little longer.
Samsung has made changes to its update policy, generating curiosity about which models will receive the Android 15 update. Recently, the company has shifted its update approach, offering seven years of support for the Galaxy S24 series and subsequent flagship models, while providing six years of support for the mid-range Galaxy A16 5G and later models.
