One UI 8.5 Beta Update Damaged the Fun

Ana sayfa / News

Samsung has released the second beta update for its One UI 8.5 operating system for user testing. However, this newly released software package has brought with it serious technical issues.

Excessive overheating and system-wide performance losses, particularly noticeable on top-tier flagship devices like the Galaxy S25 Ultra, are being reported by users participating in the testing process. The constant freezes and lags that have become common since installing the second beta version negatively impact the user experience.

The temporary solutions offered so far for these performance issues and overheating problems are ineffective. Clearing the system cache, a common method used by users, is not enough to resolve the instability introduced by One UI 8.5 beta 2.

The root of the problem is believed to lie in errors in the software coding and a lack of optimization. This necessitates a comprehensive development and analysis process in the core structure of the software. Although complaints are currently coming mainly from test users in the United States, the bug has the potential to affect all beta participants globally.

Samsung has launched a wide-ranging investigation to identify the source of these issues. The company is pointing to the next software update as a solution and is requesting data sharing from users participating in the beta program.

To expedite the resolution of the bugs, users are asked to submit their device log files (system records) along with bug reports. Samsung engineers plan to analyze these reports and restore stability in the third beta version.
