Samsung is set to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, and Flip 7 FE models tomorrow, and with them, the company will begin rolling out the One UI 8 update. Other compatible models are expected to receive the new version shortly after the event. It also appears that the South Korean tech giant is planning to release an interim update early next year. Most likely to be called One UI 8.5, which Samsung models will get this update?
Samsung Models Expected to Receive One UI 8.5
Although Samsung has yet to officially announce One UI 8.5, references to this new version have already been spotted in early beta builds of One UI 8.0. More recently, a community moderator on Samsung’s official forum confirmed the update.
Based on Android 16, One UI 8.5 will debut in early 2026 alongside the Galaxy S26 series. It will then roll out gradually to other compatible devices, starting with high-end models such as the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 7, and Galaxy Z Flip 7. The update is expected to eventually reach mid-range and entry-level devices as well.
