OnePlus 11 Jupiter Rock comes with a unique back cover
The company’s new special edition device is the first smartphone with a natural texture because it is covered by a volumetric microcrystalline rock material. While the new design looks like exactly Jupiter’s surface, OnePlus announced that the 11 Jupiter Rock edition is skin-friendly and doesn’t leave fingerprints on the cover. Additionally, the phone has wear-resistant and antibacterial features.
OnePlus explains, “Although the research and development and manufacturing of the Jupiter rock back cover took up to one year, the production process was fumbled and built from 0 to 1, and the process was so complicated that the production efficiency was only 25% of the glass version, and the yield was only 50% of the glass version. Each Jupiter rock back cover is 100% hand-selected.”
The new OnePlus 11 Jupiter Rock Limited Edition will be available on April 3rd in China at CNY 4,899 ($711) for the single 16GB/512GB model. Also, there are stickers and a special invite letter in the box of the phone, and it has a custom Jupiter Rock wallpaper.
