OnePlus 12 to launch globally on January 23 at event in India

A few days ago, OnePlus confirmed that the company will launch its flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 12, in China on December 5th. Although the brand doesn’t give any launch date for global markets, reliable OnePlus tipster Max J claimed that the upcoming phone to launch globally at a special event in India on January 23rd. Here are the details about the OnePlus 12 launch in India…

OnePlus 12 will be introduced in India for global markets

Since there are no official announcements for the global launch, we can assume that Max J might be right because OnePlus launched the OnePlus 11 in India on February 7th. At the special event in India, we can expect OnePlus to announce the OnePlus 12R, OnePlus Watch 2, and OnePlus Buds 3.

Depending on the official announcements, we know that the upcoming flagship phone will feature Sony LYT-808 sensor and a 1/2-inch 64-megapixel OV64B periscope telephoto lens with an equivalent focal length of 70mm, support for 3x optical zoom.

Also, the 12 series is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, paired with up to 24GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of storage. Moreover, the phone will likely have a 5,400mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless dast charging support.

Additionally, OnePlus already confirmed Sony LYT-808 sensor, a 1/2-inch 64-megapixel OV64B periscope telephoto lens with support for 3x optical zoom, and a 2K “X1 (Oriental) Screen” from BOE.
