Leaks surrounding OnePlus’ highly anticipated new flagship, the OnePlus 15, continue apace. It was previously claimed that all its technical specifications had been leaked by an unknown source. Now, a reliable source known as “Bald Panda” has shared critical information about the device’s battery size and charging capabilities. Here are the details.
OnePlus 15 to Deliver Record Battery Capacity
According to a reliable leaker, the OnePlus 15 will boast the largest battery ever seen in a OnePlus phone, a whopping 7,300 mAh. To support this massive battery, the device will feature 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
Bald Panda also shared other key specifications of the OnePlus 15 in his Weibo comments:
- Screen Size: The device will feature a 6.78-inch display, slightly smaller than the 6.82-inch display on the previous flagship, the OnePlus 13.
Thickness and Weight: The phone will be around 8.1 mm thick and weigh between 211 and 215 grams, depending on the color variant. - Color Options: The device is expected to be available in various colors, including Titanium (Sandstorm), Black, and Purple.
According to previous reports, the OnePlus 15’s rear camera setup will focus on high-resolution sensors:
- Main Camera: A 1/1.5-inch, 50-megapixel main sensor (likely a Sony LYT-700).
- Periscope Telephoto: A 1/2.76-inch, 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera (likely a Samsung JN5).
- Ultra-Wide Angle: Another 50-megapixel Samsung JN5 sensor is expected to be used as the third camera for ultra-wide shots.
When asked about the launch date, the leaker claimed that the OnePlus 15 could be unveiled in China as early as October 23. An official announcement is expected later this week. Earlier reports for the global launch date suggested that the device will launch globally, including in India, on November 13.
