OnePlus is continuing its work on the OnePlus 15T, designed for users seeking a high-performance and compact model in the smartphone market. Following the OnePlus 15 and subsequent 15R models released in November, leaked information suggests that the new member of the series will be in the “compact flagship” category.
The OnePlus 15T is coming with ambitious features.
The new device comes with a 6.3-inch flat-screen OLED panel offering 1.5K resolution. The most striking detail on the screen side is the 165Hz refresh rate, targeting gamers. At the heart of the device is Qualcomm’s latest chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. This hardware choice ensures that the phone remains on par with the higher-end models in the series in terms of performance, despite its size.
In the camera configuration, OnePlus prioritizes optical zoom capabilities. On the back, a 50-megapixel main camera is accompanied by a 50-megapixel telephoto lens.
Some reports suggest the device may lack an ultra-wide-angle sensor, focusing instead on periscope telephoto capabilities. On the battery side, it boasts a capacity that defies the laws of physics. Despite its 6.3-inch body size, the OnePlus 15T is powered by a silicon-carbon battery exceeding 7,000 mAh, and according to test data, even reaching 7,500 mAh.
This high-capacity battery is supported by 100W or 120W wired fast charging, but wireless charging appears to have been omitted to maintain the compact design.
In terms of security, the device uses a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint reader instead of traditional optical sensors. This technology allows for much faster and more secure under-display unlocking.
For durability, the phone, protected by a metal frame, promises high water and dust resistance with IP68 and IP69 certifications. Although there has been no official announcement from the company yet, information from the production phase indicates that the device will be introduced in the first quarter of 2026.
