OnePlus Fold will make its debut in the first weeks of August
OnePlus’ first foldable model is getting ready to compete with Samsung. The model, expected to be called OnePlus Fold or OnePlus V Fold, is expected to be introduced a few weeks after the unveiling of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5. According to the bulletin published today, the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event will take place at the end of July.
Yogesh Brar, known for leaked information, announced that OnePlus Fold will be released in the first half of August in New York. According to the information received, the company will launch the device in the global market. Considering that companies like Xiaomi, Vivo, and Oppo, which produce foldable phones, are not present in the global market, OnePlus will be taking an important step.
According to the previously obtained information, OnePlus will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor in its new model. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor includes 1x 3.2GHz ARM Cortex-X3, 2x 2.8GHz ARM Cortex-A710, 2x 2.8GHz ARM Cortex-A715, and 3x 2.0GHz ARM Cortex-A510 cores.
The device, which is stated to be introduced with a 5.4-inch outer and 7.1-inch inner display, will have a FullHD Plus resolution. Additionally, OnePlus will include an AMOLED panel with a 120Hz screen refresh rate in the V Fold model. Resembling the design of the Find X6 series, V Fold will be introduced with a triple camera setup. Among the leaked information, it is mentioned that the main camera of the device will use a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 sensor lens.
It was announced that the device will use a 4,800mAh battery supporting SuperVOOC fast charging technology. Let’s note that SuperVOOC 2.0 supports 125W fast charging. OnePlus will offer the V Fold model to users with Android 13-based OxygenOS 13. The company announced that it will introduce its foldable phone in the third quarter of 2023. It is estimated that the OnePlus V Fold model will be introduced in June.
