While the competition in the foldable phone market is increasing, OnePlus is preparing to make an assertive entry into the market again with the Open 2 model. According to the leaked information, the phone is currently in the testing phase and will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. However, the real details that will make this device stand out from its competitors come on the design and durability side. Here are the details and what you need to know…
OnePlus Open 2 will draw attention with its durable structure!
The wireless charging feature, which is not available in the previous model OnePlus Open, will finally be offered to users with Open 2. This innovation seems to heat up the competition, especially in the US market. In addition, the device will have IPX8 water resistance certification and will offer extra durability with a structure called ‘anti-fall’. This feature aims to significantly reduce fragility, one of the biggest problems of foldable phones.
The thin and light design claim mentioned in previous leaks has also been confirmed by DCS, known as one of the reliable sources. In addition, the device is rumoured to offer much longer battery life. This will be an important solution to the battery performance problem, which is frequently criticised by foldable phone users.
On the camera side, a triple camera setup supported by a 50 MP main camera is expected. In this way, OnePlus will take the momentum it has achieved with Oppo Find N3 in camera performance one step further.
The OnePlus Open model was released as Oppo Find N3 in China. Since the number 4 is considered inauspicious in Chinese culture, the new model is expected to be introduced as Find N5. It is thought that the device will appear in the global market under the name OnePlus Open 2.
If this leaked information turns out to be true, we may be facing one of the best foldable phones of 2025. Well, do you think OnePlus can leave its competitors behind with this model? Don’t forget to share your opinions in the comments!
