Xiaomi has officially confirmed that its new open wireless earbuds, the OpenWear Stereo Pro, will launch worldwide next week.
OpenWear Stereo Pro goes global with updated name
Originally launched in China as the Open Earphones Pro, the earbuds now carry the global name OpenWear Stereo Pro. They’ll be showcased during Xiaomi’s major event on September 24, alongside the Redmi Pad 2 Pro and Xiaomi 15T series.
These earbuds already made their debut back in June, but until now, they have remained exclusive to China. That’s about to change.
Xiaomi adds new features for global release
The OpenWear Stereo Pro improves on the standard OpenWear Stereo with several audio-focused upgrades. Key additions include:
- 96 kHz audio transmission
- Harman Master Tuning
- IP54-rated water and dust resistance
- Bluetooth 5.4 support
- 8.5 hours of battery life
Color-wise, buyers can expect both beige and grey options at launch, just like the earlier model.
No global price yet for OpenWear Stereo Pro
While Xiaomi hasn’t revealed international pricing, the Chinese model sells for CNY 999, around $140. That puts it above the standard OpenWear Stereo, which currently retails at $118 on Amazon.
Expect full pricing and availability details during next week’s event.
Xiaomi’s fall launch event looks stacked
The September 24 launch isn’t just about earbuds. Xiaomi is also rolling out the Redmi Pad 2 Pro, the Xiaomi 15T lineup, and new wearables like the Watch S4 41 mm. The company clearly aims to dominate the news cycle.
Global debut comes after a quiet early rollout
After a soft start in China, the OpenWear Stereo Pro now enters the global scene with stronger specs and a broader push. With a packed lineup behind it, Xiaomi is betting that open earbuds still have room to grow.
