Opera Neon is now generally available

Opera has released Opera Neon, its experimental AI browser that has been in closed testing for some time, to all users. The company, a pioneer in developing AI-focused browsers, is offering Neon, which has been tested exclusively by “Founders” since October 2nd in an early access program, for a monthly subscription fee of $19.90. Community feedback gathered during this period has led to the addition of several significant new features to the browser.

Opera Neon is designed specifically for AI enthusiasts and advanced users. Going beyond traditional browsers, this platform performs various tasks on behalf of users through AI agents and even develops web applications.

The browser also provides access to the latest AI models in the industry, such as Gemini 3 Pro and GPT 5.1. Opera positions Neon as a special experimental space where it tests next-generation AI developments and allows users to experience the technology in its rawest form at an early stage.

Users can combine the latest AI models in the industry in a single workspace thanks to the LLM-independent AI engine. This eliminates the need to pay separate subscription fees for each model. Available features include high-end models such as the Gemini 3 Pro, GPT-5.1, Veo 3.1, and Nano Banana Pro.

The Neon Chat, Do, and Make agents within the browser are advanced tools that can create travel plans, design websites, and even produce videos on behalf of the user. The newly added ODRA deep research agent allows for “1-minute research” by gathering and summarizing information on complex topics with their sources.

Access to Opera Neon is now directly available at operaneon.com. Unlike this paid experimental browser, Opera’s other browsers—Opera One, Opera GX, and Opera Air—continue to offer free AI features through Opera AI.
