OPPO has quietly launched its new mid-range smartphone, the Oppo A6 Max. Despite being just 7.7 mm thin, the device houses a massive 7000 mAh battery. It also supports 80W fast charging, which can recharge the phone to 50 percent in only 24 minutes. Impressively, the handset weighs just 198 grams despite its large battery.

The Oppo A6 Max features a 6.8-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2800 × 1280, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of 1600 nits. It supports wet-hand operation and is protected by Crystal Shield Glass for added durability. In terms of cameras, it offers a 32 MP selfie shooter on the front, while the rear setup includes a 50 MP main sensor and a 2 MP monochrome auxiliary lens. The phone is available in two finishes: Streamer White with a glass back and Rock Mist Blue with a fiber-textured rear.

Powering the device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, paired with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. It comes with a 5200 mm² vapor chamber cooling system to keep thermals under control. Connectivity highlights include Oppo’s custom Shanhai Communication chip, dual-band GPS, triple-band Beidou, NFC, and offline communication support.

Durability is one of the A6 Max’s key selling points. The phone is certified with IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings, making it resistant to high-pressure water and harsh environments. It has also been SGS-certified for high-temperature operation and features powerful speakers with up to 300% increased sound output. In China, the 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage model is priced at 1599 yuan (around $220). However, OPPO has not yet revealed details regarding its global availability
