Oppo has introduced the Oppo A6x 5G in India, offering solid specs for budget-conscious users including a 120 Hz display and fast charging.
Oppo A6x 5G debuts alongside 4G variant
The Oppo A6x 5G arrives just weeks after the standard A6 5G. Alongside it, Oppo has launched a 4G version, giving buyers more options in the affordable segment.
The main difference lies in the chipset. The A6x 5G runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300, while the 4G variant uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 685. Both phones share the same screen, camera setup, and battery, but only the 5G model supports fast charging.
Display and design keep things smooth and simple
Both models sport a 6.75-inch LCD panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate, 1570 × 720 resolution, and a peak brightness of 1,125 nits. Despite the budget price, the fast refresh rate offers smoother scrolling and better visuals for casual gaming or content browsing.
Color options for the Oppo A6x 5G include olive green and ice blue, while the 4G model gets plum purple and ice blue in Malaysia.
Memory and battery specs cater to everyday use
Oppo has launched the Oppo A6x 5G with the following memory variants:
- 4 GB + 64 GB
- 4 GB + 128 GB
- 6 GB + 128 GB
The 6,500 mAh battery is the same across both 4G and 5G models. However, only the 5G version supports 45 W wired charging, allowing for quicker top-ups. The 4G model offers standard charging only.
Oppo A6x 5G camera setup offers basics with a twist
Camera specs stay modest. Both models feature a dual rear camera system, with a 13 MP main lens and a placeholder secondary sensor. A 5 MP front camera handles selfies and video calls. While this setup won’t impress photography pros, it checks the boxes for everyday use.
