Season 2 of Peacemaker, one of the prominent productions of the DC universe on the television side, signed by James Gunn, will meet the audience on 21 August. The announcement was made with a short promotional video shared on the official social media accounts of the series.
Peacemaker will appear with its 2nd season
First aired in 2022, Peacemaker focuses on a story centred on the character of the same name introduced in Suicide Squad. In the series, Peacemaker, played by John Cena, is assigned a secret mission by a secret government organisation called A.R.G.U.S.
In the later stages of the mission, Peacemaker is confronted with a parasite-like alien species trying to take over the world by hiding in human bodies. The fight against this threat will continue in the second season.
The series will again be broadcast on the Max platform. Max previously served under the name HBO Max. In the new season, new characters are also included in the story. One of these characters will be Rick Flag Sr. The character first appeared in the animated series Creature Commandos.
A live-action version of the same character will also be brought to the screens with Peacemaker. Frank Grillo, who voiced Rick Flag Sr. in Creature Commandos, will continue to star in this version of the character.
Peacemaker, which received positive reviews with its first season and rose to a remarkable position among DC’s television productions, returns with its second season after a nearly three-year break. The production stood out with both its character development and the innovative narrative it added to the DC universe.
