Philips Hue Bridge Pro unlocks migration for users

Ana sayfa / News

Philips Hue is finally rolling out the long-promised tool that allows users to migrate multiple Hue Bridges into a single setup. This long-awaited feature previously limited to single-Bridge transfers is now available through the latest Philips Hue app update and new firmware for both Bridge v2 and Bridge Pro.

This marks a major upgrade for power users juggling several Bridges across large homes or multi-zone smart lighting installs.

The new migration tool launched with Philips Hue app version 5.57.0, alongside firmware versions 1974142030 for the Hue Bridge v2 and 2071153010 for the Hue Bridge Pro. With the rollout now underway, users can finally transfer more than one Bridge’s configuration to a single Pro unit.

This opens the door to smoother consolidation, allowing a unified control experience through one upgraded hub something that wasn’t possible before.

Philips Hue app update adds smart alarm detection and Bridge Pro migration

Philips Hue app version 5.57.0 adds multi-Bridge Pro migration, smart alarm sound detection, and expanded device management tools.

There are two ways to use the migration feature:

Hue’s system lets users migrate multiple Bridges, but only the first Bridge transfers its data completely. The Pro unit stores partial content from any additional Bridges, depending on available space.

A support page linked in the app provides a deeper look at migration limitations and how progress is tracked.

Alongside the main feature, Philips notes that the firmware updates also bring “small changes behind the scenes,” though no specifics are detailed. These background tweaks likely prepare the platform for future upgrades while improving current Bridge stability.

With this update, the Hue Bridge Pro is more than a high-capacity controller. It becomes the centerpiece for users unifying large smart lighting setups. Multi-Bridge support was a clear gap in the ecosystem. Now that it’s filled, Philips Hue makes the Pro model far more appealing.

For anyone managing a growing Hue network, the days of split hubs may finally be numbered.
