The legendary console PlayStation 1, which was first released in December 1994, has been in our lives for almost 30 years. The games we played on this console were really different. One fan has developed a prototype that we can play these games by carrying them with us, just like the PlayStation Portable. Here is the PlayStation 1 handheld console!
This is what the PlayStation 1 handheld console looks like
Hairo Satoh, who modifies consoles as a hobby or lifestyle, often shares his PlayStation 1 handheld console design on his Instagram account.
If you want to take a closer look at this device, which is smaller than Sony’s original PlayStation Portable (PSP) and frankly looks quite original, we share Hairo Satoh’s Instagram account with you below.
Satoh has used a USB-C port for charging this device, which can be described as ‘the size of a flea and all sorts of habits’. He also included a Memory Card slot, two stereo speakers and a volume rocker.
The entire chassis is 3D printed and the buttons are taken from the original PlayStation 1 controller. He did not specify how many GB of storage the device has.
In the videos he shared, we can see him playing a lot of Resident Evil and Megaman. Do you think Sony should release such a device? What do you think about the PS1 handheld console? Please don’t forget to share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
