PlayStation Plus coming to PC and mobile?

Ana sayfa / PlayStation

Sony is expanding its PlayStation Plus ambitions to better compete with Xbox Game Pass. Documents revealed after the recent attack on Insomniac Games revealed a PS Plus “Services 3.0” overhaul. It is thought that the company may enter the PC and mobile world.

Microsoft attracts great attention in the gaming world with its Game Pass service. Microsoft, which offers its productions such as Halo and Forza to the subscription system on the release day, also offers Game Pass for both consoles and Windows. Sony is reportedly preparing to take action after the Activision-Blizzard acquisition.

Sony already offers some of its PlayStation-exclusive games for Windows PCs. Planning to expand this strategy, the company is working on a PS Plus subscription for PC. It wants to expand the service to other platforms with the 3.0 update.

End of support for popular Android app!

Android Auto support will be cut for older versions. A new update to the app shows that it will not work on some Androids.

Key elements of the strategy include the expansion of PS Plus to PC, mobile and smart TVs. This means that PS Plus, which is only available on PlayStation, will appeal to a much larger audience.

Let us remind you that there is currently a PlayStation Plus app for PC. However, this application only allows you to port the game from the console to the PC. So it does not serve as a standalone production.

Sony also wants to expand its family and individual subscription offerings under Services 3.0. With PS Plus expanding to different platforms, Sony thinks that the family subscription will become more important. It was stated that the company is investing in entertainment and music sectors other than games for PS Plus.

By adding different subscriptions to PS Plus, it can turn it into an “entertainment service”. In other words, users can use PS Plus not only for gaming but also for listening to music and watching movies. In this context, Disney can establish partnerships with companies such as Spotify and Amazon.
