POCO C51 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G36 SoC
The new budget smartphone comes with MediaTek’s Helio G36 SoC chipset, which is common on affordable devices. The chipset is an Octa-Core 12nm processor with 4x Cortex-A53 at 2.2GHz, 4x Cortex-A53 at 1.8GHz, and IMG PowerVR GE8320 at 680MHz GPU. Additionally, the Poco C51 has 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. However, the phone reaches up to 7GB RAM with 3GB of virtual RAM.
Compared to its predecessor, C31 with Helio G35, the new phone has a slightly overclocked chipset version. On the display side, the C51 features a 6.52-inch (1600 x 720 pixels), HD+ IPS LCD screen with a 120Hz touch sampling rate.
When we look at the cameras, the phone doesn’t offer a lot of features, but it is a budget phone. The POCO C51 comes with an 8-megapixel main camera with f/2.0 aperture and a secondary camera on the back. The phone has a 5-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture on the front.
While the C51 has a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support, it runs Android 13 Go Edition with 2 years of security updates. The phone is available in Power Black and Royal Blue color options, and it costs Rs. 8499 ($104) for the 4GB+64GB model. It will be available on April 10th on Flipkart.
