Poco Pad M1 global launch confirmed with 120 Hz screen and huge 12,000 mAh battery

Xiaomi has officially locked in the global debut for its latest Android tablet the Poco Pad M1. Slated to appear alongside the Poco F8 series and the high-end Pad X1, this new model lands with a blend of familiar hardware and a fresh coat of paint. If the leaks didn’t make it clear already, Xiaomi isn’t exactly hiding the fact that this is a slightly tweaked Redmi Pad 2 Pro.

The Poco Pad M1 carries over the 12.1-inch display we saw on the Redmi Pad 2 Pro. It features a sharp 2.5K resolution and a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate ideal for media, scrolling, and multitasking. Xiaomi also kept the rounded camera housing and flat-edge design intact, suggesting there’s little difference under the surface.

That said, there’s at least one cosmetic shift: a new blue colorway that helps distinguish it from its Redmi sibling. Functionally though, this appears to be the same tablet under a different banner.

Xiaomi 2K Monitor A27Qi 2026 gets global release with smoother 120 Hz refresh rate

Xiaomi 2K Monitor A27Qi 2026 goes global with 120 Hz refresh rate, ΔE<1 color accuracy, and a sharper contrast ratio.

Xiaomi isn’t pulling any punches in the battery department. The Poco Pad M1 ships with a 12,000 mAh battery one of the largest in its class. That size suggests it could easily power through full workdays or binge sessions without flinching.

Here’s what the Poco Pad M1 brings to the table:

The global launch isn’t just about the Poco Pad M1. Xiaomi is also rolling out the Poco F8 Pro, F8 Ultra, and the more powerful Poco Pad X1. This tablet rounds out the slate of new hardware that aims to hit every price point, from flagship phones to all-purpose Android tablets.

With hardware this close to the Redmi Pad 2 Pro, Xiaomi isn’t hiding the reuse. Still, by launching it under the Poco brand, it gives users another route to snag that same spec sheet this time with Poco’s more energetic identity. It’s a small shift, but one that could help the Pad M1 stand out in global markets where Redmi branding doesn’t carry as much weight.
