In addition to its globally unveiled flagship phones, the POCO F8 Ultra and POCO F8 Pro, POCO has expanded its tablet lineup with the POCO Pad X1 and the more affordable POCO Pad M1. The new tablets stand out with their high-resolution, tall displays, Snapdragon 7 Series chipsets, and massive batteries. Here are the pricing, specifications, and all the other details.
High Resolution in a Thin Body
The POCO Pad X1 launched with a tall 11.2-inch display with a resolution of 3200 x 2136 pixels (3.2K). The display offers a 144Hz refresh rate, adaptive HDR, and a peak brightness of 800 nits. The bezels around the display are prominent but relatively thin. POCO built the tablet with an aluminum body that is only 6.18 mm thick and weighs 500 grams.
The device is powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The tablet is powered by a large 8,850 mAh battery. For audio, it features a quad-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos support. There’s a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing selfie/video call camera. Other notable features include stylus support, Bluetooth 5.4, WiFi 6E, and NFC.
While not a flagship-level tablet, the POCO Pad X1 offers sufficient features for gaming, everyday use, and lag-free multitasking. The device supports the Floating Keyboard and Xiaomi Focus Pen, which are sold separately.
Alongside the POCO Pad X1, the company also announced its more affordable model, the POCO Pad M1. This model uses a 12.1-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels (2.5K). The display has a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 500 nits.
Like the Pad X1, the POCO Pad M1 also features a metal unibody design. This model features the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, a mid-range chipset. In synthetic benchmarks, this model’s performance is reportedly quite similar to the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3.
Paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, this storage can be expanded up to 2TB via a microSDXC card slot. While its resolution is slightly lower than the Pad X1, it has an advantage in battery life thanks to its massive 12,000mAh battery. This battery supports 33W wired fast charging and even 27W reverse wired charging.
It features an 8MP camera on both the front and back. Other notable features include quad speakers with Hi-Res audio and Dolby Atmos support, as well as a 3.5mm audio jack.
