Polestar brings new changes to the Polestar 2 on its fifth model-year release. The Polestar 2 EV gets a lot of improvements and features for the model year 2024, compared to its predecessors. While there are changes in its look, the electric vehicle also gets improvements in terms of its power. The new 2024 model is to release with a new grille, up to 300 miles of range, and more. Polestar 2 model 2024 comes with a 300-mile range
The EV manufacturer launches a new model of the car with a maximum 300-mile range (EPA estimated for now). Besides, this range rate emerges on the single-motor RWD model, it is an increase on the 270-mile range of the FWD version released last year. Also, the Polestar 2 now comes with a larger 82kWh battery pack, which was 78kWh on the previous model. Now, drivers can charge their EVs at compatible stations at a 205kW rate.
Polestar 2 gets a rear-wheel drive model in addition to some changes like wireless phone charging and driver awareness features, which are now available in the standard version. Thanks to its new rear motor and the new front asynchronous motor for support, the car pushes 421 horsepower and 546 pound-feet of torque, which is up from 408 horsepower and 467 pound-feet of torque. The RWD can now reach 0-60mph acceleration in just 5.9 seconds, which is lower than 7.0 seconds.
There are also changes in Polestar 2’s look, including the new grille called “SmartZone“. The SmartZone houses components and sensors to improve the car’s advanced safety and driver assistant features. The new grille also comes with a camera, mid-range radar, accelerometers, ultrasonic sensors, and heating wires. Additionally, the EV now features the Pilot pack with cross-traffic alert and a 360-degree camera included with the dual-motor model in North America.
While the 2024 Polestar 2 is now available to order for delivery starting “later this year”, the pre-owned Polestar 2 has a starting price of $43,599.
