Google has introduced a significant update to its popular search tool, Circle to Search, on the Android platform. Until now, this feature required restarting the translation process every time the screen content changed while working with the translation tool. Now, thanks to this new update, translation continues uninterrupted when users swipe.
Circle to Search feature is being updated
This innovation provides significant convenience, especially for users who read content in different languages on social media or who are trying to translate text, such as menu and reservation screens, while traveling abroad. Google states that it developed this feature specifically with everyday use cases in mind. Users can take advantage of this new feature by tapping the translation icon and activating the “Swipe and translate” option.
The update not only ensures that translation continues while scrolling, but also ensures that translation continues even if users switch to another app. This new feature is being rolled out to Samsung Galaxy phones starting this week, followed by other Android users.
Circle to Search is a feature introduced with the Galaxy S24 series that allows you to search by circling text, images, or objects on the screen. Google continues to add new features to this tool over time.
