Google Meet is rolling out new updates to make meetings more efficient. Live captions will now display a history, and the AI-powered note-taking feature will help users track post-meeting actions more easily. Here are the details…

Google has updated Meet with three major improvements to enhance the user experience. Now, live and translated captions will include a short history. Previously, captions were only visible in real time and would disappear as the conversation progressed. With the new update, users can review the last 30 minutes of captions.

This feature will be especially useful for those who miss parts of a conversation or want to review specific details. The caption history will appear between the video window and the control bar, showing who spoke and which phrases were translated. Users can quickly jump back to the latest part of the conversation with a single tap.

Striking claim from South Korea about DeepSeek!

South Korea’s Personal Information Protection Commission announced that it found evidence that DeepSeek shared data with ByteDance.

Another major upgrade is the improved “Take Notes for Me” feature, powered by Google’s Gemini AI. Previously, this feature captured key meeting points and sent a summary via email. Now, it will also record next steps identified during the meeting.

The newly added “Suggested Next Steps” section will highlight assigned tasks and follow-ups discussed in the meeting. Users can edit these steps and assign responsibilities to specific participants, making team collaboration more efficient.
