Porsche could be in trouble! All Taycan models recalled

Ana sayfa / News

Porsche is recalling all Taycan models produced since 2020 due to a potential leak in the front brake hoses. Drivers who receive this warning are advised to pull over immediately and contact the service center. How was this issue not detected since 2020? Here are the details of the critical brake issue…

The problem began last year when Porsche received several field reports indicating a leak in the front brake hoses of Taycan models. According to documents submitted to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), there were seven such reports from the U.S., with no accidents or injuries reported.

Porsche quickly conducted a series of tests on the hoses and found that a gentler bend was needed in the path of the hoses to the calipers. To address this issue, Porsche decided to recall all Taycan models produced since 2020. In the U.S., this recall affects 31,689 vehicles, while globally, over 150,000 Taycans will be impacted.

Porsche did not keep its promise! Germans’ dreams shattered

Find out why Porsche abandoned its plans for a battery factory in Brandenburg, Germany. Here are the details...

The recall documents state that drivers will receive various warning messages if a certain amount of brake fluid is lost. Depending on the severity of the leak, warnings such as “low brake fluid” or “PSM failure” will be displayed. If a yellow warning light appears, Taycan owners are advised to take their vehicles to a service center. However, if a red warning light appears, the vehicle should be towed, or Porsche should be contacted, and the vehicle should not be used.

Porsche dealerships will replace the front brake hoses with a new design that provides a longer and gentler routing. This process is expected to take about two hours and will be done free of charge. U.S. owners will begin receiving recall letters on July 3.

This major recall has not pleased Taycan owners. What do you think about this recall? How do you evaluate Porsche’s response? Don’t forget to share your thoughts with us in the comments below!
