Qualcomm develops a new Snapdragon X for budget laptops

Ana sayfa / News

Qualcomm is taking an important step towards expanding the Snapdragon X processor family. The company aims to bring the Snapdragon X series, which we have previously seen in high-end devices, to a wider audience with an entry-level processor. Windows PCs equipped with the new processor will cost around $600.

Previously developed as a competitor to Apple’s M series chips and positioned in the high price segment, Snapdragon X processors attracted attention with their performance and energy efficiency. However, the fact that laptops with these processors started at prices as high as 1200 dollars prevented the masses from benefiting from this technology.

Although the price range has been slightly reduced with the Plus versions that followed, the processors are still far from being accessible. With the new entry-level processor, Qualcomm plans to bring the advantages of the Snapdragon X family to more affordable Windows PCs.
