Qualcomm recently unveiled its new processor Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 quietly and without any big launch. Qualcomm’s current naming scheme is sometimes confusing. But usually the “s” stands for a lower model in the series. This means that the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 is a lower version of the higher-spec Snapdragon 6 Gen 3.
Qualcomm unveils Snapdragon 6s Gen 3
Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 is available in two variants, 4G (SM-6370) and 5G (SM-6375 AC). Based on 64-bit architecture and a 6nm manufacturing process, this processor can reach a peak frequency of 2.3 GHz. The processor, which will use Adreno 619 in the GPU part, supports LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage system. The processor, which has Qualcomm Sensing Hub certification, can offer good performance in terms of artificial intelligence.
On the camera side, the processor supports video recording up to 1080p 60 fps. Its successor, Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, released in 2022, can record video up to 4k 30FPS. In addition, its successor has Adreno 710 GPU, LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage in the GPU direction.Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 supports cameras up to 108 MP and offers 120 fps video recording at 720p.
On the display side, it can support 120 Hz. According to critics, it is a processor that can enable users to play games without any problems in many FPS games. With the X51 5G chip integrated into the processor, download speeds up to 2.5 Gbps can be achieved. This chip also supports Wi-Fi 5 802.11 a/aac networks. It comes to the market with Bluetooth 5.2 version.
According to some leaks, it seems that the new Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 will first appear in the Motorola G85 model, which is not sold in our country. However, there have been no official announcements or other leaks from smartphone manufacturers that they will use this processor. Therefore, there is no definite information about which devices Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 will be used in.
