Rockstar Games is preparing to bring its longtime console exclusive legend Red Dead Redemption to the PC platform. A series of new developments suggest that a PC version may no longer be a dream, but a reality.
Red Dead Redemption Remastered on the way for PC
Red Dead Redemption Remastered was announced for PS4 and Xbox One years ago. However, the company did not bring this game to the PC platform. Finally, a few remarkable clues were caught. Chief among them is the appearance of RDR in the Steam database.
According to SteamDB data, Rockstar registered a new application some time ago. While the name of this application was initially hidden, it is now labeled as “Red Dead Redemption remaster”. So the company may make the new version available on Steam.
It was also noticed that a new Red Dead Redemption file was opened in the Rockstar Launcher. Although this update was quickly withdrawn, it gave the impression that the game files were being prepared for the PC version.
Additionally, in May and August, Red Dead Redemption’s product descriptions mistakenly included the phrase “now playable on PC”. This was a big deal as it was only available on console.
Although no official announcement has been made yet, technical details suggest that Rockstar will finally make PC gamers happy. Red Dead Redemption, which has only been playable on consoles for over a decade, may soon make an appearance on PC.
