Xiaomi is preparing to add a new model to its mid-range lineup. The unboxing video of the Redmi 12 4G has surfaced, revealing some details about the device. The model stands out with its punch-hole display and MediaTek Helio G88 chipset, and it seems to surprise users with its price. Here’s what we know about Xiaomi’s new affordable device.
Redmi 12 4G specs and leaks
The unboxing video showcases the Redmi 12 4G in its sky blue color variant. The smartphone features power and volume buttons on the left side. On the back, it houses a triple AI-powered camera setup, including a 50-megapixel primary camera accompanied by an LED flash.
According to leaks, the Redmi 12 will come with a 6.79-inch FHD LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The model will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G88 chipset and will offer 6/8 GB of RAM options.
Another notable feature of the Redmi 12 is its triple rear camera setup. It will feature a 50-megapixel primary sensor. On the front, it will have an 8-megapixel camera embedded in the display.
Additionally, Xiaomi’s official Portuguese website had listed the Redmi 12. According to the listing, the phone is expected to be powered by a 5000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging.
According to leaks, the Redmi 12 4G is expected to be priced at 12,700 Indian Rupees (approximately $155). The device, which is expected to be announced in June, will be available in three color options: Midnight Black, Polar Silver, and Sky Blue.
