Xiaomi’s Redmi K90 series may not be done yet. Following the launch of the K90 and K90 Pro Max in October 2025, two more models are reportedly on the way: the Redmi K90 Pro and the K90 Ultra. While Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed either phone officially, a new leak has given us our first real detail about the K90 Pro and it points to a familiar form factor.
Redmi K90 Pro could ship with a 6.6-inch display
According to Weibo leaker Smart Pikachu, the current K90 Pro prototype features a 6.6-inch display, bringing it close in size to the Redmi K80 Pro, which had a 6.67-inch panel. This suggests that Xiaomi may not be aiming for dramatic changes in dimensions, keeping the phone pocket-friendly while potentially upgrading internals.
The K90 Pro’s panel details such as refresh rate, brightness, or resolution, haven’t surfaced yet. However, if the K80 Pro is any indication, we can expect at least a 120 Hz AMOLED screen.
Dimensity 9500 may replace Snapdragon in Redmi K90 Pro
One of the most interesting changes could be the chip under the hood. While last year’s K80 Pro ran on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite, new reports hint that the Redmi K90 Pro may switch to MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 instead. It’s a notable move for a phone in this tier, especially since Xiaomi typically leans on Qualcomm for its Pro-branded models.
Here’s how the current K90 lineup looks, based on leaks:
- Redmi K90 Pro – Dimensity 9500
- Redmi K90 Ultra – Dimensity 9500+ (likely to launch mid-2026)
Launch timeline remains unclear
Xiaomi hasn’t revealed a release date for the K90 Pro, but speculation points to late 2025 or early 2026. If the phone doesn’t debut by December, it may land in China shortly after the new year. That timing would also line up with Xiaomi’s past release patterns for Pro and Ultra models in the K-series.
What we know so far about the Redmi K90 Pro
While Xiaomi remains silent, here’s a quick rundown of what leaks suggest so far:
- Display: 6.6-inch panel (likely AMOLED)
- SoC: MediaTek Dimensity 9500
- Form factor: Similar to K80 Pro
- Launch window: Late 2025 to early 2026
With two high-end phones still unreleased, Xiaomi’s K90 lineup may grow even more competitive especially if it makes the Dimensity switch official.
