Today is a big day for Redmi because the company launched the new Redmi Note 12 series. The phone manufacturer launched three new devices. While the three devices come with mostly the same specifications, there are a few differences between the devices. Here are the details about the Redmi Note 12 series launch.
Redmi Note 12 series comes with 200mp camera, 210W fast charging
The Redmi Note 12 series comes with a lot of great features and specs, such as a 200-Megapixel primary camera lens and a 210W charger that charges the phone in just 9 minutes. Additionally, the three devices have mostly the same specs, including display, processor, and selfie camera. The devices also have a 3.5mm port, NFC, IR blaster, and Wi-Fi 6 support.
According to the announcements, the series includes three phones, Discovery Edition, Pro, and Pro Plus. All the devices are equipped with a 6.67-inch FHD+, a 120Hz OLED display, MediaTek Dimensity 1080 5G processor, and a 16-Megapixel selfie camera.
Of course, there are differences between the phones. While the Discovery Edition and Pro Plus models use a 200-Megapixel primary camera, the Pro model has only a 50-Megapixel camera. Additionally, Pro Plus and Pro models come with a 5,000mAh battery contrary to the Discovery Edition model which has a 4,300mAh battery. Also, Discovery Edition has 210W wired charging, Pro Plus has 120W wired charging, and Pro has 67W wired charging.
Redmi Note 12 series prices and availability
The company announced that the new series is now available only in China. However, we should stay tuned for global announcements. The Discovery Edition starts at 2,399 yuan ($332) for the 8GB/256GB model, while the Pro starts at 1,699 yuan ($235) for the 6GB/128GB model. In addition, the Pro Plus launches with 2,099 yuan ($290) price tag for the 8GB/256GB model.
