Resident Evil 30th Anniversary Website Teases What’s Next

Capcom is setting the stage for Resident Evil’s 30th anniversary in 2026 with a freshly launched teaser website, and fans of the survival horror titan should keep their eyes peeled.

March 22, 2026, will officially mark three decades since the original Resident Evil crept onto the PlayStation. While the site doesn’t spill any major details just yet, a prominent “Coming Soon” section suggests Capcom isn’t just putting up placeholder banners. Something’s lurking beneath the surface.

Capcom has rarely missed a chance to make a splash with the Resident Evil brand. And with the 30-year mark just months away, the publisher seems poised to go big. Two anniversary logos have already been shown, one styled like an arch with the Umbrella Corporation symbol, the other featuring a raccoon wearing shades. Yes, really.

The site is live, but sparse. Still, Capcom doesn’t launch an entire platform like this for nothing.

Steam cuts PayPal for most countries with no fix in sight

Steam removes PayPal for most currencies, citing bank restrictions. Millions now forced to use alternative payment methods with no fix in sight.

The one confirmed piece of the 30th puzzle? Resident Evil Requiem, which is slated to release on February 27, 2026, just weeks before the big date. It’s the latest mainline title in the franchise, and although there’s no official word on a Switch 2 version, Capcom’s long history with the platform leaves the door open.

So far, there’s no crossover between the anniversary site and Requiem marketing, but timing-wise, the connection’s hard to ignore.

Resident Evil remains Capcom’s strongest brand. The publisher’s updated sales figures show that five out of its ten best-selling games belong to the series. Leading the pack is the Resident Evil 2 remake, which is playable on Switch via cloud.

Here’s why the franchise’s continued success matters:

A 30th anniversary isn’t just a celebration. It’s a chance to resurrect, reimagine, or reveal. If Capcom’s past surprises are anything to go by, that “Coming Soon” section won’t stay quiet for long. Something is definitely coming. The only question is what and how loud it’ll scream.
