The Retroid Pocket 6 is back in pre-order territory but this time, buyers won’t get the early bird discount. Following the end of its first wave, Retroid has now opened a new round of orders with shipping set for March 2026.
Retroid Pocket 6 first batch ships in January
Pre-orders for the handheld officially began on November 2, shortly after its October relaunch. Early buyers who got in during the first round were promised January 2026 delivery, and Retroid has confirmed that those units remain on schedule.
The discounted price, however, ended with that first wave. Anyone jumping into the second batch will pay full price and face a longer wait.
Retroid Pocket 6 pre-orders reopen without a discount
Retroid’s website now shows that the second round of Retroid Pocket 6 pre-orders is live. Shipments for this phase will begin in March 2026. There’s no confirmed end date for this round, but the first pre-order period lasted roughly six weeks so it’s likely this one will close in late January if demand stays consistent.
The company hasn’t revealed whether open sales will begin after pre-orders wrap up. If past releases are any indicator, the Pocket 6 may see another waiting period before becoming widely available.
Retroid Pocket 6 hardware delivers flagship-tier specs
The Pocket 6 doesn’t just look sharp it’s got muscle under the hood. Buyers can choose between symmetrical or offset thumbstick layouts, but all versions come with the same powerful core.
Here’s what the device packs:
- 5.5-inch AMOLED display (120Hz refresh rate)
- Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor
- 8GB or 12GB RAM
- 128GB or 256GB internal storage
- 6,000mAh battery
- Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3
- Android 13 out of the box
That combination makes it one of the most powerful Android-based handhelds currently on the market.
Retroid Pocket 6 targets handheld power users
While other brands lean into emulation or nostalgia, the Retroid Pocket 6 pushes toward premium performance. The inclusion of Wi-Fi 7 and a 120Hz AMOLED screen shows it’s not just for retro titles it’s meant to handle cloud gaming, Android-native games, and high-end streaming with ease.
Waiting now might mean waiting longer later
If you’re set on grabbing the Retroid Pocket 6, it’s better to jump in now rather than risk delays. Once this second batch fills up, Retroid could pause availability again or push shipping deeper into 2026.
