RG477V: Anbernic teases final specs ahead of launch

Ana sayfa / News

The RG477V is almost here, and Anbernic isn’t holding much back. Just days before the handheld’s expected release, the company dropped a nearly 16-minute unboxing video shedding light on its final hardware details and pushing anticipation into overdrive.

If you’ve followed Anbernic before, you know the drill: long-form video, last-minute reveal, then launch. This week’s deep-dive confirms what many suspected the RG477V is set to go live any day now, likely just before Christmas.

The video covers packaging, build, performance highlights, and even a preview of the Android 14 system in action. Historically, Anbernic uploads these previews right before pre-orders open, which means the wait won’t stretch much longer.

Ayaneo Next II heads to Indiegogo with early bird perks

Ayaneo Next II is launching on Indiegogo soon, with early bird registration open now for discounts ahead of the crowdfunding campaign.

Compared to the RG406V, the RG477V is noticeably larger. It measures 153 x 106 x 23 mm though it slims down to 15 mm at its thinnest edge. The bump in size allows for a 4.7-inch display with 960p resolution, 120 Hz refresh, and peak brightness up to 500 nits.

It’s the same display tech found in the RG477M, but here it’s been paired with a slightly bulkier body and more visible ergonomic shaping.

Anbernic has locked in two configurations for the RG477V:

Both models will be available in Black and Retro Gray at launch.

Other standout features include bottom-firing stereo speakers, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and Android 14 with Anbernic’s custom tweaks. While full performance numbers haven’t been shared yet, the OS walkthrough shows a smooth UI and controller integration ready out of the box.

With the unboxing out and specs now confirmed, Anbernic is clearly lining things up for a global launch. The RG477V doesn’t aim to reinvent the handheld scene, but it pushes just enough improvements larger screen, sharper refresh rate, and clean Android software to make its mark.

If you’ve been holding out for a vertically styled upgrade, your window might open any day now.
