Revolutionizing the world of electric supercars, Rimac continues to push the limits with its new model, the Rimac Nevera R. Rimac introduced this new version by further improving the performance of its previous model Nevera. Nevera R reduces the time from 0 km/h to 100 km/h to just 1.74 seconds, reinforcing its title as the world’s fastest mass-produced electric vehicle.
Rimac Nevera R takes performance to the top
The Rimac Nevera R is much more powerful than its predecessor. Producing 2,107 horsepower, this supercar offers nearly 200 horsepower more than its predecessor. In addition, improvements to its aerodynamics, downforce and handling have taken its performance to the next level. Rimac says the Nevera R improved the Nevera’s lap time by 3.8 seconds on the high-speed Nardo Ring circuit in Italy. These improvements show how far the car has come, not only in terms of speed, but also in terms of handling and overall driving dynamics.
The Rimac Nevera R is capable of reaching incredible speeds, but requires manufacturer supervision to drive it safely. Without this control, the car is limited to 217 mph, but can reach 256 mph at its full potential. According to MotorTrend, the vehicle’s 108 kWh battery is capable of delivering a range of around 349 kilometers according to Europe’s WLTP cycle. However, this range has not yet been officially confirmed.
Rimac has announced that it will only produce 40 units of this performance monster. The price of these very rare vehicles is set at 2.5 million dollars. Rimac’s robotaxi projects in Croatia are also on the agenda, but owning a supercar like the Nevera R will continue to be the dream of many car enthusiasts.
The Rimac Nevera R stands out not only for its performance but also for its limited production and high price tag. So, how do you think the Rimac Nevera R’s impressive performance will shape the supercars of the future?
