On Thursday, Rockstar Games’ parent company Take-Two shared its financial report for the third quarter of 2024. In addition to the expected revenue figures, the report also included significant sales numbers. According to the report, the latest installment in the GTA series, GTA 5, has sold 195 million copies to date.
The number in the financial report released last November was stated to be 190 million. This means it has sold 5 million copies in the past two months. It is said that the promotional trailer released a few months ago for GTA 6, expected to be released in 2025, has had an impact on sales.
Additionally, Red Dead Redemption 2 has surpassed 61 million in sales. It is reported to have sold 4 million copies since November. Following this, it was shared that the Red Dead Redemption series, consisting of four games in total, has sold over 86 million copies. We see that Red Dead Redemption 2 is the biggest contributor to this total sales figure.
