ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has announced the Azoth 96 HE, the latest addition to its ROG Azoth gaming keyboard series. The Azoth 96 HE offers several advantages over other products in the series, including ROG HFX V2 magnetic switches, a new 96% dimensional layout for increased versatility, and a refresh rate of up to 8000Hz. It also features a 1.47-inch full-color touchscreen and a three-way button for onboard adjustment of actuation points and other settings.
Hot-swap ROG HFX V2 magnetic switches and ROG Hall sensor
The Azoth 96 HE is a keyboard specifically designed for demanding gamers. Instead of the ROG NX switches found in other models in the series, this model uses ROG HFX V2 magnetic switches. The actuation point is customizable from 0.1–3.5mm, and precise 0.01mm increments allow for fine-tuning to improve keystrokes.
The Azoth 96 HE also features the ROG Hall sensor, which delivers high-precision 0.01mm keystroke detection, higher magnetic flux tolerance for smoother, more reliable input, and improved power efficiency. Each keyboard undergoes a multi-stage calibration process during manufacturing that precisely records the travel distance of each key. This data is fed into the algorithm for enhanced control, resulting in consistently accurate (with minimal tolerance) and ultra-responsive Quick Trigger performance.
The Azoth 96 HE can connect up to five devices simultaneously via ROG SpeedNova 8K wireless technology, wired USB, and Bluetooth®. The keyboard also offers a true 8000Hz refresh rate in both ROG SpeedNova 8K wireless and wired modes, eliminating the need for additional accessories.
Full-color OLED touchscreen
The Azoth 96 HE’s 1.47-inch full-color touchscreen displays essential keyboard and system information. This screen is the same as the display found on the flagship Azoth Extreme model. The keyboard features a three-way switch for toggling between various settings, as well as actuation point and trigger sensitivity adjustments.
The Azoth 96 HE provides a smooth typing experience with four layers of PORON®, IXPE padding, and silicone padding that help absorb vibrations and key clicks. The seal’s softness can be adjusted by adjusting the damping layers underneath.
The Azoth 96 HE’s metal top cover offers a premium look. Gamers can further customize the keyboard with unique translucent keycaps featuring the ROG logo.
