Exynos 2400, the processor Samsung will probably use in the Samsung Galaxy S24 model, has been revealed. Samsung, which used the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor in the Galaxy S23 model this year, prefers its own processor for the S24.
Is Samsung Exynos 2400 a rival to Snapdragon 8 Gen 3?
While Samsung uses its own processor in some models, it uses processors developed by Qualcomm in some models. Using the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset in the Samsung Galaxy S23, one of the latest flagship models, Samsung is considering using the Exynos 2400 for the Galaxy S24, which it will introduce next year.
The specifications of the Exynos 2400, a 10-core processor, were revealed today. Exynos 2400, which comes with a “1+2+3+4” configuration, has one Cortex-X4 core running at 3.10 GHz. In addition, two Cortex-A720s running at 2.90 GHz, Cortex-A720s running at 2.6 GHz and four Cortex-A520s running at 1.8 GHz are also included with the Exynos 2400.
Samsung Exynos 2400 has Xclipse 940 GPU on the graphics side, LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 support. Offering up to 320 Megapixel camera support, Exynos 2400 also allows 8K 60 FPS video recording. Finally, it is known that Exynos 2400, which allows 10 Gbps download speed, will allow 3.87 Gbps upload speed.
It seems that Samsung plans to rival Qualcomm’s new processor Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with this processor. Some rumors even say that Exynos 2400 will be more powerful than Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
