Samsung 83-inch S90C OLED TV is equipped with LG’s W-OLED panel
Earlier, the tech giant launched its S90C series’ 55-inch, 65-inch, and 77-inch models with QD-OLED panels made by Samsung Display. However, Samsung preferred to use a W-OLED panel from LG Display for its biggest OLED TV. Although there is no official release date, the newest TV costs $5,399 in the US, and the company says that the TV will be shipped by July 21st.
The 83-inch S90C OLED TV (QN83S90C) comes with a 10-bit W-OLED 4K screen with a 144Hz refresh rate, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, HDR10+, HDR10+ Adaptive, and HDR10+ Gaming. Additionally, Samsung’s 83-inch S90C OLED TV covers 100% DCI-P3 color space, and it has perfect blacks.
In terms of connectivity, the S90C features four HDMI 2.1 ports, three USB Type-A ports, an Ethernet port, an optical audio out port, a cable port, Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi Direct, Miracast, AirPlay 2, DLNA, and Bluetooth 5.2. The 83-inch OLED TV has 40W 2.1-channel speakers, and supports Dolby Atmos, Active Voice Amplifier, Adaptive Sound+, Object Sound Tracking Lite.
