AI, a product of advancing technology, has been on the rise in recent years. It has found its place in various aspects of our lives and continues to do so. There are major companies such as OpenAI and Google currently working on this topic. According to a recent report, Samsung is also joining the list of companies developing its own AI language model. Here are the details…
Samsung is developing its own AI language model!
In the world of technology, OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Google’s Bard artificial intelligence tools are currently in the spotlight. These tools have already been integrated into many websites, social media platforms, and mobile applications, with the number of integrations increasing rapidly.
Recently, it was leaked from within Samsung that the company is considering developing an AI language model similar to ChatGPT. Today, it has emerged that the tech giant has started working on a Large Language Model (LLM) based AI.
According to Sammobile’s report, Samsung has invested significant manpower and resources for this purpose. The company has allocated all GPU resources to start training the language model and aims to complete this training within two months.
According to the shared information, if the training is successful, Samsung will announce its AI language model in two months. It is intended to be used for purposes such as document summarization, software development, and language translation, but it is unclear whether it will be made available to the public. The company may be aiming to use it for its own projects.
In fact, Samsung has previously used third-party AI solutions like ChatGPT. It had also held discussions with various companies such as Google, Microsoft, Naver, and OpenAI.
However, after some employees leaked sensitive data through ChatGPT, Samsung banned the use of third-party AI tools. Consequently, the company decided to develop its own AI language model. This could be a significant step for Samsung’s Bixby voice assistant. If the company can achieve its goals, it is believed that it will present a better solution to users.
