During Samsung’s closing meeting for the year 2023, many new pieces of information were shared. One of them was related to the Samsung-Qualcomm collaboration. According to the announcement made by the company’s top management, we will continue to see Snapdragon processors in the flagship phones of the brand.
Renewal of the agreement between Samsung and Qualcomm!
The use of Snapdragon in Samsung’s Galaxy S24 Ultra series while Galaxy S24 and S24+ come with Exynos in many countries had sparked rumors that the agreement between the two companies would soon come to an end. However, according to the latest information, the partnership between Samsung and Qualcomm has been sealed with a new agreement.
Qualcomm’s management also confirmed through official channels that their long-term strategic collaboration with Samsung will continue, emphasizing that this agreement highlights the value of the Snapdragon 8 series processors.
All these developments indicate that Samsung will not be using MediaTek processors in its flagship models at least in the near future. However, it is said that the company has designed 3-nanometer processors entirely on its own for the Galaxy S25 series. Whether these processors can compete with the Snapdragon 8 series will be seen in the near future.
