Samsung Breaks Records with its Monitors

Ana sayfa / News

Samsung has unveiled five new monitor models in its 2026 Odyssey series, redefining the technical limits in the gaming equipment world. The most attention-grabbing product is the Odyssey 3D G9 (G90XH), which combines the world’s first glasses-free 3D experience with 6K resolution.

Built on a 32-inch IPS panel, this flagship model instantly optimizes depth perception based on the user’s position via its real-time eye-tracking sensors.

The device’s dual-mode operation offers a 165Hz refresh rate at the highest resolution of 6K, while increasing this rate to 330Hz when the resolution is reduced to 3K. With a 1ms GtG latency, the model enhances its performance and offers optimized 3D support for popular titles such as Stellar Blade and Lies of P: Overture.

Another noteworthy member of the series, the Odyssey G6 G60H, sets another world record with its 1,040Hz refresh rate for speed enthusiasts. This 27-inch monitor reaches 1,040Hz in HD resolution mode, while providing a smooth image at 600Hz in native 1440p resolution.

Compatible with both NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium, the device stands out from its competitors in esports-focused usage scenarios. Samsung’s new product range also includes three different Odyssey G8 models. The G80HS model offers 165Hz at 6K resolution, while the G80HF model caters to professional users with a 180Hz refresh rate at 5K resolution.

The Odyssey G8 (G80SH), the only OLED option in the series, takes visual quality to the next level with its 4K resolution, 240Hz refresh rate, and infinite contrast ratio offered by the QD-OLED panel.

These models, which hold a critical place in next year’s technology calendar, will be physically showcased for the first time at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, from January 6-9, 2026. Samsung has not yet shared the final consumer prices or exact release dates for these high-end monitors.

However, technology circles predict that the 6K 3D model, in particular, will have a high price tag due to its production costs and innovative technologies. Supporting the latest connectivity standards such as DisplayPort 2.1, the series, with its uncompressed image transmission and high brightness values, appears poised to be a strong contender in the 2026 monitor market.
